Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing various duties to support the Secondary Marketing department, coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for this position. Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information and day-to-day management of the mortgage pipeline.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to navigate the Bank’s loan origination system (Encompass)
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Bank’s pricing engine and loan locking procedures
  • Ability to manage time and execute multiple priorities in a high production/pressure environment
Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Coordination of new locks, lock changes and lock extensions
  • Monitor the Secondary Help Desk – loan scenarios, secondary questions, general inquiries from Retail Loan Originators
  • Investor Relations – liaison between Meridian Bank and the Investor Base
  • Monitor residential mortgage pipeline (lock expirations)
  • Create, maintain, and distribute Meridian’s daily mortgage rate sheets
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of product guidelines, Secondary policies and procedures
  • Daily and ongoing monitoring of the current interest rate environment to protect Meridian Bank from risks associated with interest rate volatility

  • Coordinates specific work tasks with other employees within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information
