Position Summary:

Merit Business Funding is a Revenue Advance company that provides working capital to small and medium-sized businesses on a short-term basis (3-12 months) to fuel their growth and success. Our Revenue Advance is tailored to expanding companies in need of fast cash. The key advantages versus other types of capital sourcing are speed of funding, flexible payment options, and less documentation requirements.

Responsible for performing various duties to support the Merit Business Funding division; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for this position. Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, )
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • High positive outlook
Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Identify, engage and close partner agreements with independent sales organizations (ISO’s) throughout the USA
  • Responsible for building and maintaining a network of brokers in the Revenue Advance industry
  • Responsible for funding merchant deals and management of payments
  • Work across multiple underwriting teams, marketing an company management
  • Act as liaison between partners and corporate operations where credit decisions are made
  • Attain volume plan at acceptable business levels

  • Coordinates specific work tasks with other employees within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information

  • Communicates with management and coworkers in order to integrate goals and activities
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act
